Job Summary
RenaissanceRe is seeking a Portfolio Risk Analyst to join the Portfolio Analytics team. The role supports Underwriting, Reserving, Risk and other teams in risk modeling, data management, and reporting through internal and third-party tools; requires strong quantitative and communication skills, initiative, and ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a numerical, statistical, physical sciences or financial discipline, or the equivalent industry experience
- Excellent quantitative, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and multi-task in a timely, accurate manner
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
- Intellectually curious with a strong work ethic
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL would be beneficial
- Experience in business intelligence and report development would be beneficial
- Experience at a re/insurer, reinsurance broker or vendor catastrophe modelling firm is advantageous but not required
