Job Summary
Conduct research and analysis on health policy, delivery system reforms, payment reforms, HIT, and federal/state regulatory activities. Track federal and legislative agency activities, draft background materials, and prepare agendas for committees. Support the development of Congressional testimony, letters, and advocacy materials while maintaining educational tools and web content. Analyze the impact of federal legislation on internal medicine practice and assist with member invoice coordination and registration. Maintain current knowledge of regulatory topics and CMS/ONC activities to provide member support on regulatory issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- at least 1 year of experience in regulatory affairs, digital health, AI, or medical informatics
- Strong writing skills with a demonstrated ability to summarize issues in a succinct manner, highlighting key points and communicating self-gathered insights from material
- Excellent computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of the legislative and executive branch of government
- Basic understanding of regulatory agencies involved in public health policy
- two days per week in the Washington, DC office
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT
