Job Summary
Trainee/Analyst Quantity Surveyor role supporting a key Construction client in the UK, focusing on developing and implementing procurement and commercial strategies across projects. Responsibilities include preparing costed estimates/cost plans, identifying value engineering options and life-cycle costing, risk register preparation, contributing to pre-contract processes, procurement strategy development, attending client and design team meetings, assisting in lease negotiations and tenant-improvement validation, contributing to project templates and logs (change orders, invoices, cost reports), assisting measurements and development appraisals pricing, and drafting/pre-qualifying questionnaires. Requires studying towards a Quantity Surveying degree, strong organisational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, clear written and verbal communication, proactive teamwork, detail-orientation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a part-time Graduate Apprenticeship degree in Quantity Surveying at an accredited institution
- Studying towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to an appropriate level
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
- A proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Site or field experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
