Job Summary
Review and track assessment notices, preliminary valuations, and asset data for exemption opportunities while communicating with clients, assessors, and taxing authorities. Secure and audit tax statements, then apply assessment rules, exemption regulations, and valuation techniques across multiple states and jurisdictions. Participate in training sessions to learn industry trends, assessment procedures, and specialized certification requirements. Prioritize tasks in a team environment while managing rapidly changing assignments. Requires Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration. Salary range $60,000 - $90,000 USD. Located in Philadelphia, PA or Chicago, IL with 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration or other related field; alternatively, completed Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university or college
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
- A critical thinker with great attention to detail
- Computer proficiency and ability to maximize applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel and other industry specific applications
- Strong analytical, comprehension and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience and strong personal integrity
- Ability to work effectively with senior professionals in an engagement team
- Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results
- This position requires about 10% of travel across the US
