Job Summary
Analyze project data and report on the performance of the Distribution Organization, ensuring timely monitoring and analysis of project costs, trends, and schedules for the capital program. Produce reports and analyses supporting project initiating, planning, executing, controlling, compliance, and close-out initiatives while working closely with all functional departments. Monitor Project Teams regarding adherence to policies, procedures, and standards, and develop key Project Management metrics including schedule performance, risk management, and change order management. Collaborate with Project Management, Investment Planning, Operations, and Procurement to ensure project budgets align with corporate goals, track cost management, and create accounting and cost variance reports. Apply project analytics to describe, predict, and improve business performance, and create progress charts and KPIs to guide decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience
- Experience exposure to Project Manager, accountant, financial business analysts
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
- Must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed
- Current guidelines require employees to work at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Must be self-reliant with a strong sense of self-motivation
- Possess good communication skills
- Understands and applies financial, accounting, business, risk and project management theories and methodologies
- Knowledge of financial modeling
- Knowledge of accounting
- Knowledge of risk management
- Knowledge of project management information systems
- Knowledge of capital investment analysis techniques
- Knowledge of plant accounting
- Knowledge of capital budgeting
- Ability to monitor and analyze cost and scheduling information
- Ability to provide forecasts
- Ability to make recommendations
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Demonstrated high competence in past assignments
- Valid driver's license (implied by travel requirement between MA/CT/NH)
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent education highly desirable
- Experience preferred with experience exposure to Project Manager, accountant, financial business analysts in a business involved with managing large complex multi-year projects
