Job Summary
Conduct statistical and attribution analyses to generate insights into fund performance, investor behavior, and market dynamics. Synthesize data from internal systems and third-party sources into structured analysis for the Chief Economist, while drafting research notes, monthly fund commentary, and industry updates. Identify, test, and embed AI tools to improve research efficiency across market analysis, data synthesis, and report generation. Collaborate with Asset Management, Investor Administration, and Compliance teams to validate inputs, source data, and ensure regulatory standards are met. Maintain a working knowledge of Canadian and North American real estate and capital markets data sources.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in a research or economics role
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Comfort with statistical analysis
- Attribution analysis
- Working with large datasets
- A strong writer who can produce clear, concise research prose
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools to analytical work
- Practical experience embedding AI into research, data or reporting workflows
- Comfortable working within a regulated environment
- Inside compliance review processes
- Post-secondary degree in economics
- Post-secondary degree in finance
- Post-secondary degree in statistics
- Post-secondary degree in data science
- Post-secondary degree in a related quantitative discipline
