Job Summary
Monitor trading activity on NYSE Group Exchanges systems and perform all first shift Trading Operation daily checkout procedures. Provide first line support to live production trading platforms by identifying, troubleshooting, and escalating customer-related trading questions regarding order types, routing behavior, and electronic trading activity. Assist NYSE Group member firms with queries, coordinate with customer technology staff to resolve ongoing issues, and communicate directly with NYSE Regulation and competitor exchanges regarding erroneous trades. Electronically maintain activity reports on problems and disputes throughout the trading day, send mass communications for market status updates, and assist in setting up new users. Support Early Trading Sessions from 2:00 am ET to 11:00 am ET and Late Trading Sessions from 11:30 am ET to 8:00 am ET.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Security licenses, Series 7, Series 63 and Series 57
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a trading environment in the capacity of trader, trader's assistant, or at a competing exchange, or Alternative Trading System
- Superior computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint
- Self-directed ability to work within a team environment
- Friendly, professional telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure, be flexible, creative and pay attention to details
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion
