Job Summary
Monitor designated email inboxes and chat channels throughout the extended hours trading session, maintaining consistent coverage from 8 pm to 4 am ET. Review and assess inbound communications to determine urgency, triage various overnight trading issues, and escalate identified problems to senior NYSE Regulation staff for resolution. Investigate unusual trading activity, analyze global news and press releases for materiality, and confirm that corporate actions and halts are implemented correctly. Configure the incident management platform weekly and coordinate with staff at other exchanges and trading venues as needed. Work on special projects and ad hoc tasks while functioning efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment. Fully remote position with access to office facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Associate's degree
- Course work in accounting, finance, economics, business, or similar fields
- 3+ years of accounting/finance/trading or regulatory experience
- General knowledge of the financial markets and/or the securities industry
- Prior experience in a triage, dispatch, customer support, or operations coordination role
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with strong initiative, attention to detail, and sound judgment
- Ability to quickly review and extract key points from written communications
- Reliable and consistent
- Discretion when handling sensitive or confidential communications
- Excellent and confident interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and function efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-oriented, multi-task environment
- Ability to interface effectively and professionally with NYSE senior management and representatives of broker dealers, listed issuers, and other market participants
- Comfort working non-traditional hours to support extended hours trading
- Position is fully remote with office access if desired
- 8 pm to 4 am ET / 7 pm to 3 am CT / 5 pm to 1 am PT
- 7 am to 3 pm, Hyderabad, India
- 8 am to 4 pm, Singapore
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree preferred
- Course work in accounting, finance, economics, business, or similar fields preferred
- 3+ years of accounting/finance/trading or regulatory experience preferred
- General knowledge of the financial markets and/or the securities industry preferred
- Prior experience in a triage, dispatch, customer support, or operations coordination role is beneficial but not required
- Experience with trading data software (Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Capital IQ) is beneficial
