Job Summary
Execute physical shipments from trade execution through completion, managing logistics, contract administration, settlement, and risk mitigation for metal shipments with Korean-speaking counterparties in the Asia-Pacific region. Conduct daily written and verbal contact with suppliers, receivers, and service providers to coordinate monthly tonnage requirements and organize shipments via direct contact with Trafigura offices. Maintain multiple reports including Credit Exposure and Logistics reports, update inhouse IT systems for cargo status, verify shipping documents, and arrange payments and insurance under agreed incoterms. Handle invoicing compliance for various payment terms and coordinate inspections and assaying of cargoes. Requires Korean fluency and 3–5 years in the metal/logistics industry.
Required Qualifications
- Business-level fluency in Korean (spoken and written)
- Fluency in English
- BE/MBA or equivalent degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Economics / Finance or a related subject
- Min 3 – 5 years' experience in the metal/logistics industry
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite specially Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
- hands on experience of leveraging MS Excel for data gathering & reporting
- Ability to analyze large datasets
- Solid analytical capabilities
- Ability to summarize complex logistical issues and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity in written or oral form
- Accurate and efficient working style with good attention to detail
- Ability to be flexible with working hours in the event of deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure
