Job Summary
Conduct 24x7 proactive monitoring and incident management to prevent and restore network service outages. Perform routine network analysis, fault isolation, and root cause development to streamline troubleshooting procedures. Execute pre-production checklists for new service deployment and coordinate change management with Engineering and vendor support. Manage service requests, capacity reviews, and asset management while developing knowledge base solutions. Requires weekend and off-hours availability; Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering with 3+ years experience in routing protocols, TCP/IP, and network troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related field
- 3+ years or experience in lieu or educational credentials
- Knowledge of routing protocols and concepts (OSPF, BGP, etc)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, Layer 2 and 3 switching
- Position requires superior customer service skills including verbal and written skills
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment is essential
- Weekend and off hours support is required
- Solid understanding of multicast and troubleshooting techniques
- Working knowledge of how to use management tools
Desired Qualifications
- JNCIA, CCNA, or equivalent knowledge is preferred
- Financial industry experience is preferred
