Job Summary
Prepare documentation for domestic, international, and government orders while processing shipments to ensure prompt delivery and accurate shipping documents. Support off-shift and weekend expedited shipments, generate invoices for transportation freight charges, and address concerns with Customer Account Managers regarding delivery issues. Ensure all export requirements are met and documented per procedures, maintaining a clean work area and adhering to EH&S policies. Daily interaction with carriers and internal customers is required to prioritize orders and hit OTD metrics. This split-shift role operates from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. and supports continuous improvement activities within the Value Stream.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- University Degree
- Less than 2 years prior relevant experience
- Experience in a warehouse environment and/or inventory environment
- Facilitation, presentation skills with great verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational aptitude
- Experience with Microsoft office products
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend expedited shipments
- Must be able to work a split-shift that operates from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must adhere to all EH&S roles and responsibilities
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures
- Must participate in Continuous Improvement activities
- Must maintain a clean and organized work area
- Must utilize basic to intermediate computer skills for data entry and process monitoring
- Must ensure processing shipments in order of priority
- Must achieve customer satisfaction through hitting OTD metrics
- Must positively affect KPI change including Safety, Output, On Time Delivery, and Productivity/Efficiency
- Must lead special projects as needed
Desired Qualifications
- SAP knowledge
- Automotive production system experience (Lean, ACE, TPS, DBS, etc.)
- Direct working experience of the Troy W&B Site / Products
- Experience working with warehouse operations and logistics
