Job Summary
Review press releases for materiality and implement temporary trading halts prior to material news dissemination during NYSE trading hours. Investigate unusual trading activity and rumors by reviewing recent activity, contacting company representatives, and monitoring newswires. Provide proxy rulings in advance of annual and special meetings, evaluate definitive proxy materials, and conduct presentations of NYSE rules to listed company executives. Coordinate with Corporate Actions and Initial Listings teams on material trading impacts, perform special projects, and maintain procedure manuals for auditor and examiner responses. Work within a dynamic and cohesive team within NYSE Regulation to ensure issuers adhere to timely alert policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or economics
- 2+ years of financial industry work experience
- General knowledge of the financial markets, the security industry and accounting/financial statements
- Ability to work independently and function effectively in a high-volume, rapid-paced, deadline-oriented, multi-task environment
- Self-starter with strong initiative
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral/written communication and follow-up skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally within ICE
- Ability to effectively interface with senior management of the Exchange, representatives of listed issuers, and other internal constituencies
- Familiar with Bloomberg and FactSet programs
