Job Summary
Conduct investment research, due diligence, and portfolio construction for Managed Accounts clients while maintaining know-your-product documentation and monitoring investment adherence. Build and maintain expert-level investment commentary, analyze performance drivers, and prepare client presentations and thought leadership materials. Support relationship management teams by resolving issues, providing competitive analysis, and delivering tailored investment analysis for marketing initiatives. Work from Fidelity's Toronto office until late 2026, then transition to the Mississauga location. This role supports the Managed Accounts Portfolio Services Group in achieving wealth goals through long-term market insights and distinctive investment solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Current work authorization for Canada
- Regular, full-time employment status
- Completion of University degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Significant exposure to investment management due diligence and investment manager research
- Exposure to portfolio management, trading, compliance and/or investment operations for an asset manager or related entity
- Strong understanding of investment product structures across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Strong attention to detail and process discipline
- Understanding of portfolio construction and investment suitability concepts
- Proficiency with portfolio management and investment research tools commonly used in the financial services industry (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar)
- Advanced technical skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to clearly convey moderately complex investment concepts to diverse audiences
Desired Qualifications
- Designations such as CFA/BMA/CIM
- Experience with programming languages such as Python
- Experience with portfolio management and investment research tools commonly used in the financial services industry (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar)
