Job Summary
Manage and develop LTL Carrier Scorecards encompassing operational and financial metrics to drive positive change with carrier partners. Contribute to customer onboardings and implementations by partnering with carriers to align on operational strategies following Procurement events. Establish internal relationships with Operations, Freight Audit & Pay, and Procurement teams to represent these departments in carrier-facing roles and drive process improvements. Manage escalations from the business to drive corrective action within the LTL carrier network and assist in carrier aging management to resolve rate discrepancies and disputes. Learn all Redwood systems and Transportation Management Systems to quantify carrier performance and manage internal communications regarding industry disruptions. Travel to carrier offices and terminals to build contacts across Pricing, Operations, Collections, and Technology departments, while also visiting prospective customers to collect information for facilitating best LTL solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Core understanding of LTL industry
- Experience interacting with LTL carriers
- 3-5 years experience in a logistics capacity at a company or 3PL
- Proven ability to consume & leverage data to drive positive change and solve problems
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems
- Understanding of systems integrations facilitating financial transactions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to rapidly develop and cultivate relationships with peers and external stakeholders
- Presentation skills to senior leaders internally and externally
- Growth mindset and positive 'can do' attitude
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Ability to travel to LTL carrier offices & local terminals
