Job Summary
Analyst, Loan Servicing role based in Toronto, ON, responsible for statutory and GAAP accounting/reporting for mortgage and real estate portfolios; supports onboarding/setup of residential/commercial loans, processes daily servicing transactions, reviews documentation, maintains data integrity, performs reconciliations, prepares standard reports, collaborates with servicing/accounting/Underwriting/ customer support, assists with audits/quality control and documentation gathering, and identifies data/processing improvements while adhering to internal controls and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, real estate, or a related field (or equivalent internship/work experience)
- 1–2 years of experience in mortgage servicing, loan operations, banking, or financial services
- Proficiency in Aladdin, Precision LM, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of residential and/or commercial mortgage products is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately review documents and input data
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain compliance with internal controls
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and escalate appropriately
- Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment
- Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to develop within mortgage operations
