Job Summary
Conduct standard chemical and biological tests, prepare samples, and utilize specialized instrumentation to analyze composition and reactions for client needs. Process data, troubleshoot equipment issues, and investigate inconsistencies while maintaining accurate logs and peer-reviewed records. Manage sample backlogs, perform necessary administrative functions, and support test method development under established SOPs. Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance programs while working near moving mechanical parts and handling toxic chemicals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited institution in a related field of applied science
- Two or more years of related experience
- Six plus years of related laboratory experience with no degree
- Strong understanding of principles, terminology, practices, techniques and instrumentation commonly used in a laboratory setting
- Ability to interpret data, record observations, prepare reports, and perform peer review
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage time to meet deadlines and rush orders
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work with delicate laboratory equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
- Ability to understand and adhere to established SOPs
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
