Job Summary
Manage global information requests, including document intake, processing, and tracking, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Collaborate with Law Enforcement Response Team members in EMEA and Singapore to prioritize requests and ensure consistency in operations. Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and identify anomalies or unusual patterns in requests, escalating ambiguous policy issues as needed. Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely responses to emergency requests from around the world. Maintain open communication with teammates and cross-functional teams while taking ownership of projects from start to finish. This role supports the Safety Team's mission to protect user privacy and freedom of expression within a flat organizational structure.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Exceptional communication and writing skills
- Experience working with user information requests, legal documents, or a legal education
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks while maintaining high-quality output
- Passion and enthusiasm for protecting user privacy and freedom of expression
- Collaborative mindset with perseverance, determination, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Comfortable navigating ambiguous policy escalations and making sound decisions
- Availability to work weekends, with potential schedules including Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday
- Potential for shifts to change to as early as 6am or finish as late as 8pm, with notice
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a Safety or Legal Operations role at a tech company, or as a paralegal, litigation support, or equivalent role
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience
- Proven ability to spot anomalies or unusual patterns in data or requests
- Strong sense of ownership, optimism, and enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges in a fast-paced environment
