Job Summary
Support Investment Counsellors in portfolio analysis and custom research reports while liaising with the investment management team on holdings. Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and DDQs from institutional prospects, assist in customizing presentations, and develop performance attribution commentary for client strategies. Create and maintain competitor intelligence profiles, update institutional collateral, and draft documentation in French and English for Canadian and international clients. Liaise with employees across Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary offices on strategic initiatives. This role involves collaboration with all departments to support existing client relationships and business development efforts within a global, independent investment manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, finance or a related field
- Between 0-2 years of relevant work experience
- Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Drafting documentation (in French and English) for current and prospective Canadian and international clients
- Liaising with employees based in various Canadian offices (Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary)
Desired Qualifications
- An interest in pursuing the CFA or CIM designation is preferred
- Experience with eVestment or Bloomberg would be an asset
- Knowledge of the institutional investment industry would be an asset
- Professional presence with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with a high energy level
- Dedicated, well-organized and resourceful individual with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- Demonstrates initiative and thrives in environments that require flexibility and adaptability
