Job Summary
Lead insights-related to joint business planning initiatives by monitoring trends across sales, distribution, assortment, pricing, promotions, and shopper behavior to uncover actionable recommendations. Track category, segment, brand, and SKU performance to explain key findings and synthesize data from multiple sources to present strategic advice. Support sales initiatives by developing fact-based selling stories, identifying white space opportunities, and building standardized reports and scorecards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Category Management, Marketing, Innovation, Culinary, and Sales to execute insights that drive decision-making. Own the new item review and verification process with primary retail POS data sources while answering ad-hoc analytical requests from Sales and Category teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, category management, consumer insights or related field
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail & accuracy
- Curiosity & analytical mindset with proven ability to drive growth through analytics and critical thinking
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence across all levels within the organization (including external customers)
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work independently with minimal guidance from manager
- Some travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- CPG preferred
- dairy experience a plus
- Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus
- Experience with Retail data sources e.g. Circana syndicated POS data
- Experience with Nielsen, Kantar, Stratum, Foodservice insights and/or other data resources are a plus
