Job Summary
Design and deliver analytical approaches by translating business problems into requirements through discovery sessions with SMEs. Build, maintain, and enhance Power Query dashboards and interactive reports while managing iterative development from discovery to go-live. Coach junior analysts and automate repetitive manual tasks to improve speed to insight. Work in Agile Sprints to execute backlogs, manage user feedback, and ensure thorough testing in lower environments before deployment. Raise issues and risks timely to the project manager to mitigate project delivery risks.
Required Qualifications
- Design and deliver the appropriate analytical approach to address key issues within the organization
- Understand the business problem through discovery sessions with business SMEs
- Translate business problems into analytical requirements
- Gather detailed user requirements
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver high quality results
- Manage the delivery of analytical tools from discovery, build and ongoing iterative development
- Manage communication with business SMEs throughout the project lifecycle
- Build, maintain and enhance analytical solutions including performant Power Query dashboards and interactive reports
- Manage and coach junior analysts on the analytical development of solutions
- Build workflows or scripts that facilitate data preparation, data cleansing and rapid prototyping
- Automate repetitive manual tasks
- Work in Agile Sprints to execute the backlog
- Execute enhancement requests to further improve products post go-live
- Ensure thorough testing of products in lower environments before go-live
- Manage and fix any bugs to ensure consistency in the tools
- Raise issues and risks in a timely manner to project manager
- Ensure effective and timely delivery of project work
