Job Summary
Monitor and manage incident response, including first-level fixes, notifications, and escalations, within the production environment. Diagnose and fix incidents raised through monitoring tools or the Production Conference Bridge by following established runbooks. Assist in root cause investigations and contribute to the team's knowledge base by reviewing new documentation. Meticulously execute the handover process to ensure the next shift is fully briefed on priority items. This role requires working shift rotations including weekends and public holidays, alongside a solid understanding of Clearing Systems architecture and networking fundamentals.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2+ years of experience in an IT systems support, operations, or administrative role within a Windows environment
- a university degree or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP)
- basic PowerShell scripting
- the ability to read and query SQL databases
- Willingness to work shift rotations that include weekends and public holidays
- Experience supporting Windows Server environments
- comfort operating at an administrative permission level
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and alerting platforms (e.g., BigPanda, Spectrum View, or similar tools)
- Basic understanding of database performance monitoring
