Job Summary
Batch and prep environmental samples for analysis, making reagents and aliquoting extracts to maximize productivity. Prepare appropriate standards and determine methods for organic and inorganic samples while operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instruments. Upload data into the LIMS system and perform Level I reviews to ensure accuracy, maintaining logbooks and monitoring refrigerator temperatures. Adhere to health and safety standards, manage housekeeping, and inventory supplies. This full-time role requires a BS or BA in chemistry with 2+ years of laboratory experience and GCMS/FID proficiency. Based in Stafford, TX, the Analyst II earns $25-$30/hour.
Required Qualifications
- BS or BA in chemistry or related field
- 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for degree
- Minimum 2 years' experience in routine and complex laboratory procedures and instruments
- Experience preferably in a production environment
- GCMS, FID experience
- 1 year of experience analyzing organics
- Previous production-oriented work
- Awareness and ability to meet deadlines
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Ability to read in English
- Ability to write in English
- Ability to speak in English
- Full time position
- 40 hrs / week
- Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm
- Possibility of overtime
- Possibility of weekends
