Job Summary
Analyst role in TD Securities’ Global Core Trade Finance (GCTF) origination unit, supporting four Trade Finance Relationship Managers and providing direct client management. Responsibilities include understanding the overall client origination strategy, identifying new business opportunities, assisting in trade finance strategy execution, reviewing financial statements to understand client requirements, developing relationships with internal partners, managing NY deal pipeline via CRM, preparing presentations and term sheets, negotiating and closing new business, facilitating facility approvals (KYC due diligence and onboarding), and supporting instrument issuance and documentation. Travel to meet clients and team members in North America is expected. Requires 1+ years of relevant experience, strong analytical and quantitative skills, proficiency with PowerPoint/Excel/OneNote, and strong communication and collaboration abilities. TD emphasizes growth, training, and a values-driven culture.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience (background in Credit Management, Consulting, Corporate Banking is an asset)
- Familiarity with corporate financial statements (understanding of credit analysis is considered an asset)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong Microsoft skills (PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- High level of self-motivation and initiative
- Global financial market and political awareness
- Excellent organization, collaboration, and prioritization skills to manage deliverables
- Capability to manage continuous reporting and presentation requests
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt presentation style to audience
- Ability to travel in North America
