Job Summary
Manage a discretionary Global Macro portfolio by conducting fundamental research on Emerging Markets, including macroeconomic developments and central bank policy. Generate investment ideas across emerging and global opportunities while building analytical tools in Python and Excel for trade screening and portfolio analysis. Monitor global macro developments to identify cross-market opportunities and prepare investment analysis for the Portfolio Manager. Develop relationships with external experts and strategists to support decision-making. This role offers a path to Associate Portfolio Manager status with capital management responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years' experience analyzing or trading Emerging Markets gained within an investment bank, asset manager or hedge fund
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or another quantitative discipline from a highly regarded university
- Solid experience in building analytical models using both Python and Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- A keen eye for detail
