Analyst, Canadian Securities Settlements (12-Month Contract)

Job Summary
Settlements Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract responsible for settlement processing of CAD and USD equity trades, including CDS and DTC settlement functions. Balance/reconcile positions, entries, and accounts accurately and in a timely manner; ensure regulatory requirements are met; update databases daily; prepare accurate, timely, and compliant documents/reports; collaborate with other departments to reconcile portfolios, investigate daily trades, or process transactions; resolve client complaints and escalate as needed; maintain effective internal and external working relationships. Requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and experience in the securities/operations domain.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma (preferably in Finance)
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated experience with Excel and macros (don’t need to create them)
- Nice-to-have: Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- 1-2 years Investment/Securities Industry experience
- Experience working in any Operations role
