Analyst - Business Acceptance

Job Summary
Initiate and analyse conflict checks for new business, identifying and escalating potential legal and commercial conflicts. Conduct comprehensive client due diligence and anti-money laundering checks on prospective clients, while reviewing and clearing matter opening requests. Establish, monitor, and maintain information barriers to safeguard confidential client information and manage potential conflicts of interest. Provide guidance to lawyers on client acceptance processes, AML obligations, and reputational risk matters, and contribute to Legal & Risk projects and process improvements. This 12-month fixed-term role is based in London with a hybrid working model.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience within a legal, financial or professional services environment
- Ideally with exposure to conflicts, new business acceptance, risk management or regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to assess complex information and exercise sound judgement
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Systematic approach to managing workloads and maintaining accuracy
- Proactive and flexible approach
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise competing demands
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Confidence to build strong working relationships with lawyers, stakeholders and colleagues at all levels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to convey information clearly and provide practical guidance to stakeholders
