Job Summary
Analyst role in Augment Risk’s analytics team focusing on data-driven reinsurance pricing. Responsibilities include preparing and analysing client and market data to support pricing decisions, developing actuarial/data science techniques for pricing reinsurance structures, supporting pricing tools, building dashboards/reports/visualisations, automating repeatable processes with Python/R/SQL, contributing to rapid experimentation and innovation, assisting with ad hoc analyses and modelling, and clearly documenting models, processes, and assumptions. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience or willingness to learn Python/R/SQL, effective communication, attention to detail, and comfort working remotely within a global team with travel as required; based in London with hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Python, R and/or SQL (or strong willingness to learn)
- Good communication skills – able to explain technical concepts clearly
- Attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Genuine interest in reinsurance, insurance, or financial risk
- Comfortable working remotely within a global team and travelling as required to meet clients and markets
