Analyst/Associate, Real Estate Portfolio Management

Job Summary
Develop, maintain, and improve complex investment and fund-level models for leadership reporting and investor-facing presentations. Participate in investor portfolio reviews to analyze optimization of financial performance, portfolio composition, revenue policies, and financing structures. Prepare financial performance packages including operational variance analysis and coordinate with the Acquisition team to forecast fund sources and uses. Partner with Asset Management and FP&A to facilitate investment decisions, while utilizing statistical tools to allocate assets across the portfolio. Provide support on transaction execution and highlight fund-specific issues and opportunities. Assist in developing scalable infrastructure using technology and business intelligence tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 - 5 years (3+ for Associate) in investment banking, private equity or similar
- Exposure to real estate and property management
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Understanding of portfolio construction
- Highly proficient with databases and with Excel based modelling
- Able to quickly model, chart, and present performance reviews in PowerPoint
- Able to read and understand financial statements
- Able to interpret and understand term sheets and legal disclosure (i.e., transaction documents, loan agreements)
- Highly organized and accurate
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal, quantitative, and written communication
- Confident in interacting professionally with institutional investors
- Ability to interpret data and present thoughtful analysis and insight to investors and management
- Ability to develop expertise across a broad spectrum of issues
- Ability to translate strategy into execution
- Ability to collaborate across organizations and manage stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively on multiple projects and under tight time constraints

Desired Qualifications
- Current CFA
- Background in FP&A
