Job Summary
Prepare and analyze environmental samples, accurately enter data into the LIMS, and perform independent data reviews for other analysts. Execute analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples, and quality control samples as needed while maintaining client service and providing technical support. Assist the QA manager in developing and implementing QA processes, confirm lab results for client services, and pursue necessary laboratory accreditations. Coordinate sample workload according to due dates, manage inventory of laboratory consumables, train new analysts, and perform root cause analysis for errors. Maintain equipment, establish laboratory stock cultures, and communicate available capacity to senior management. Full-time Monday through Friday (8:00am – 5:00pm) with a salary range of $22-24/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in a closely related scientific discipline
- Minimum 1-2 years of documented laboratory experience
- Demonstrated experience in asbestos or mold testing analysis
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
- Proficiency in environmental testing methodologies and analytical protocols
- Comprehensive understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and compliance standards
- Advanced competency in analytical laboratory techniques and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of laboratory quality assurance (QA) requirements and standards
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, spreadsheet applications, and laboratory database management
- Full-time Monday - Friday (8:00am – 5:0pm) availability
