Analyst - Accounting Operations

Job Summary
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly. Prepare and post journal entries for bank transactions while adjusting for errors or reconciling items to maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. Support internal and external audits by providing detailed bank-related documentation and assist senior accountants in managing complex bank-related accounting tasks. This role requires a degree in Accountancy with 1-2 years of experience and strong Excel proficiency. The position is based in Kuala Lumpur with a hybrid schedule requiring at least three days onsite.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Comfortable handling day-to-day accounting activities
- Strong Microsoft Excel Proficiency
- Willing to learn and take on broader accounting responsibilities over time
- Detail oriented
- Organized
- Responsible
- Able to meet deadlines
- Can work effectively with team members and stakeholders from different countries and backgrounds
- Must be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week
