Job Summary
Lead high-stakes structural and thermal analysis for spacecraft to withstand launch forces and operate in orbit. Own and evolve spacecraft-level FEA and thermal models; run advanced load, vibration, and thermal simulations; correlate simulation data with physical testing (prototypes, thermal vacuum, shock); collaborate with design, systems, and manufacturing to ensure hardware is buildable and bulletproof; define and improve analysis workflows, data integrity, and engineering documentation. Bonus experience with spacecraft environments (shock, vibe, thermal vacuum).
Required Qualifications
- Track record of solving tough analysis problems in aerospace, defense, or similarly demanding environments
- Mastery in FEA/thermal tools like ANSYS, COMSOL, Abaqus, or NX
- Strong fundamentals in test-to-model correlation
- Comfort owning end-to-end analysis pipelines, from blank-sheet requirements to validated, test-aligned results
- Ability to move fast with rigor in a high-stakes environment
- Bonus: Hands-on experience with spacecraft environments (shock, vibe, thermal vac, etc.)
