Job Summary
Define circuit architectures optimized for high bandwidth electrical and optical links and perform link-level simulation in Matlab and/or SPICE to prove the architecture. Design and model on-die RF passive components and optical structures, then implement DAC, SAR-ADC, S/H, analog front-end, PLL, and clock distribution circuits in advanced FinFET processes. This analog/mixed-signal design intern role supports AMD SerDes Technology Group's development of high-performance, multi-protocol wireline transceivers for AI, data centers, PCs, and embedded systems.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in design & simulation of analog/mixed signal circuits (ADC, DAC, CTLE, PLL, Clocking circuits..etc) for SerDes links
- Hands on experiences in CMOS circuit designs with advanced technology nodes
- Proficient in CAD Tools for simulations and design implementation
- Experience design of wireline and optical transceiver building blocks
- Good communication skills
- Strong circuit design experiences in high-speed SerDes
- A penchant for problem solving
