Job Summary
Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer responsible for designing analog blocks, subsystems, and IPs (opamps, ADCs, DACs, bandgaps, sensors, LDOs, converters) using behavioral modeling and transistor-level techniques. Collaborates with a team of analog/digital engineers to optimize performance, power, and cost, oversees layout of circuits, defines internal chip interfaces, reviews package routing/pinouts, contributes to PCB test schematics, characterizes IC performance with lab equipment, debugs characterization issues, and supports automatic test engineering for production tests. Requires proficiency in CMOS analog design, high-voltage/layout techniques, experience with Cadence tools (Analog Artist, Virtuoso), and strong communication skills. Education/Experience: Bachelor's with 8+ years, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years in related field. Salary range: $108,000-$172,800 plus bonus/equity; Broadcom benefits; equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field and 8+ years of related experience OR Masters degree and 6+ years of related experience OR PhD and 3+ years of related experience
- Proficiency in analog design and in-depth knowledge of CMOS devices
- In-depth knowledge of analog and high-voltage layout techniques
- Knowledge of switched power supplies, high-voltage BCD technologies and high-voltage/power circuitry desirable
- Ability to optimize circuit power, area, and performance
- Experience with CAD tools and Cadence design tools (Cadence Analog Artist, Cadence Virtuoso)
- Transistor-level design, layout, verification and extraction
- Experimental verification/ATE support
- Bench testing knowledge for post-silicon evaluation a plus
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Simulation verification including corner simulation, Monte Carlo analysis, aging, and device over-voltage stress analysis
- Ability to lead architecture definition, design, verification, and documentation of IC products
