Job Summary
Anaesthetic Registrar sought to join multidisciplinary anaesthesia teams across acute hospital services in Tralee, Munster, Ireland. The role involves delivering safe anaesthetic care for elective and emergency procedures, participating in critical care, perioperative medicine, acute pain management, and resuscitation services; contributing to on-call rosters, audit, teaching, and quality improvement; and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes. Key activities include anaesthetic care under supervision, participation in theatre lists, perioperative assessment and management, documentation, and ongoing professional development. Essential requirements include IMC registration or eligibility, at least two years of postgraduate experience, demonstrated anaesthesia/critical care or related work, strong communication and organisational skills, and eligibility to work in Ireland; ALS certification and postgraduate examinations (e.g., Primary FRCA, MCAI) are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) or eligibility for registration
- Minimum of two years' postgraduate clinical experience
- Demonstrated experience in anaesthesia, critical care, emergency medicine, or related specialties
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS) (Desirable)
- Completion of relevant postgraduate examinations (e.g., Primary FRCA, MCAI, or equivalent) (Desirable)
