Job Summary
The incumbent provides clinical assistance to anaesthetists, calibrating, troubleshooting and performing repairs on anaesthetic equipment, as required, at all acute care facilities. Reports administratively to the manager of cardio-respiratory services and financially to the manager of nursing - operating room; receives clinical direction from the department of anaesthesia. Part-time regular (0.5 FTE) with days and standby shifts in Saskatoon, SK. Salary/pay band ranges from $45.074 to $54.991 (Pay Band Anaesthesia Assistant). Includes relocation assistance up to $3,000 and a three-year return-for-service incentive. Preference given to HSAS members per collective agreement; requires registration/eligibility with SCRT and CRNS.
Required Qualifications
- Anaesthesia diploma (DA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
- Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Respiratory Therapist (SCRT)
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Relocation incentive up to 3,000 with three year return for service
- Preference to HSAS members as per SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
