Job Summary
The AN/SQQ-89 SONAR Test & Evaluation (T&E) Engineer at MIKEL will lead and execute comprehensive test and evaluation initiatives for U.S. Navy undersea warfare systems. Responsibilities include conducting integration testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), detailed signal analysis utilizing MATLAB, overseeing the AN/SQQ-89 SONAR system during testing phases, analyzing data for anomalies, collaborating with AEGIS Combat System engineers, and maintaining configuration control through U.S. Navy protocols. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, possess 10–15 years of relevant experience, and demonstrate proficiency in LINUX and MATLAB.
Required Qualifications
- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- 10–15 years of direct experience in technical/tactical SONAR system operations
- Knowledge of Navy maintenance and safety protocols, including PMS, CSOSS, and WAF procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in LINUX environments
- Advanced capabilities in MATLAB for signal analysis and data visualization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and team collaboration
