Job Summary
Locum tenens Interventional Cardiologist needed in Wyoming with a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule. Responsibilities include performing left and right heart catheterizations, PPM/ICD and Loop Recorder implants including BiV, cardioversions and TEEs, Echo/EKG NucMed overreads, and providing half-day clinic and half-day hospital consults and procedures. Expected workload is 5–10 patients per day. Assignment includes paid malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel and housing expenses. Weatherby Healthcare coordinates the assignment and provides 24-hour access to a consultant; charter member of NALTO.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified in Cardiology
- Interventional cardiology expertise
- Experience with left and right heart catheterizations
- Experience with PPM/ICD/Loop Recorder implants including BiV
- Cardioversion and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures
- Echo and EKG interpretation or overreads
- Ability to perform NucMed overreads
- Physician licensed to practice in Wyoming or eligible for locum tenens assignments
- Malpractice insurance provided; travel and housing expenses covered
