Job Summary
Provide locum tenens obstetrics and gynecology coverage in an Arizona facility, managing 23/24-hour shifts with a 30-minute response time. Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections, VBAC, breech, and forceps procedures, while conducting OB ultrasounds for viability screening. Deliver surgical GYN care encompassing open and laparoscopic procedures, maintaining a low-risk pregnancy focus with an average of three patients per shift. This ongoing coverage opportunity includes weekly deposit pay, complimentary housing, travel, and comprehensive malpractice insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Call coverage -- 23/24 week with beeper, 30-minute response time
- Avg 3 patients per shift -- 4 phone consults, 2 seen, 2 admissions per 24hr
- Inpatient OB/GYN department setting
- Low risk pregnancy focus -- routine and complicated deliveries
- OB ultrasounds required -- Level I/screening for viability
- C-sections, VBAC, breech, forceps deliveries required
- Surgical GYN required -- open and laparoscopic procedures
- Must be available for 23/24 week coverage
- Must be available for 30-minute response time
- Must be available for phone consults
- Must be available for patient admissions
- Must be able to perform routine deliveries
- Must be able to perform complicated deliveries
