Job Summary
AMS Special Education Teacher for the 26-27 School Year. Responsible for delivering instructional programs, creating IEPs with the IEP team, coordinating with parents and specialists, planning curricula and lessons to meet state and school requirements, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with IDEA regulations to support students' academic, social, physical, and skill development. Requires a Bachelor's degree and Tennessee special education endorsement; 40-hour workweek, 10-month position, and Exempt status. Reports to the Principal; salary determined per ACS Teacher Salary Schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and endorsement in the grade/subject taught with a valid Tennessee certificate
- A valid Tennessee teachers license with endorsements in special education (required) and general education preferred
- Experience working with the IEP process in Tennessee preferred
