Job Summary
AMP Financial Advisor role in New York, NY within Raymond James' Advisory Mastery Program (AMP). The program trains and mentors new advisors in financial planning, client relationship management, and sales skills, with licensing requirements to be completed within prescribed timeframes. Core duties include developing a client pipeline through prospecting, networking, community involvement, and centers of influence; managing full client relationships by assessing financial needs, investments, and available capital; recommending suitable investment products and services; leveraging internal resources to identify opportunities; building a book of business aligned with AMP goals for assets under management; and completing program training and mandatory industry licenses. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; persistence and resilience in overcoming obstacles; and a client-first service mindset are emphasized. Education/experience requirements include a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and 4+ years in sales or related business experience; FINRA licenses SIE, Series 7, 66, and Life/Health/Variable Annuity or ability to obtain within 6 months. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum four (4) years working experience, including sales (preferably intangible) or business experience demonstrating achievement preferred
- SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied
- Series 7 & 66 required
- Life, Health and Variable Annuity or ability to obtain within 6 months from start of program
