Job Summary
Install and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and equipment, including alterations to related facilities. Perform start-up and shut-down processes in production plants while troubleshooting electrical components when systems are down. Execute preventative maintenance activities, maintain assigned equipment, and ensure all systems operate safely and functionally according to standards. Follow EPA regulations and company safety protocols throughout the role. This safety-sensitive position requires 3+ years of experience as a Refrigeration Technician, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to handle physical workloads in varying temperatures. Travel and weekend work are required to meet customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician in an industrial environment, or a similar role
- Must have electrical, mechanical, and ammonia refrigeration troubleshooting skills
- Experience with air compressors and associated control systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of EPA regulations
- Ability to handle physical workload in a fast-paced environment and work in a wide variety of temperatures
- Will be required to travel and work weekends as needed to meet customer needs
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 and any industry-related certifications are highly preferred
