Job Summary
Install and alter refrigeration systems and related equipment while performing start-up and shut-down processes in production plants. Troubleshoot electrical components with the meter when equipment is down, conduct repairs and maintain assigned systems throughout the plant, and ensure all systems operate safely and functionally. Perform preventative maintenance activities and manage air compressors and associated control systems. Requires 3+ years of industrial refrigeration experience, knowledge of EPA regulations and industrial ammonia systems, and ability to climb ladders and work in varying temperatures. Will work weekends as needed, travel, and work unsupervised.
Required Qualifications
- Ammonia refrigeration experience or refrigeration experience
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with air compressors and associated control systems
- Good communication skills to ensure timely repairs of equipment and issues that arise
- 3+ years of experience as a Refrigeration Technician in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of EPA regulations
- Knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and compressors
- Ammonia refrigeration troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to work in a wide variety of temperatures
- Will be required to work weekends as needed to meet customer needs
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Travel required
