Job Summary
Ammonia Refrigeration Technician with a solid mechanical background responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial refrigeration systems and controls at a Cape May, NJ facility. Roles include servicing or performing preventative maintenance on equipment per manufacturer guidelines, lubricating and cleaning parts, dismantling devices to access defective parts, adjusting functional parts and control instruments, repairing/replacing defective parts, testing performance, and maintaining required maintenance documentation. Availability for some night shifts and emergencies. Preferred qualifications include HVAC or chiller experience and NJ state toxic refrigeration seal.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college, technical or vocational school, or university program certificate; or a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid communication and listening skills.
- Ability to present numerical data and read and interpret written information such as technical manuals effectively.
- A commitment to teamwork.
- A dedication to safety and security procedures.
- Ability to use maintenance database software and other programs such as VLM, Word, and Excel.
- Capability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
