AML Officer

Job Summary
AML Officer responsible for conducting reviews of the compliance tools used by the company to meet legal and regulatory obligations; performing investigative research with detailed rationale for decisioning alerts; ensuring alerts are handled per defined procedures with quality and timeliness; executing components of the AML monitoring program; staying informed on AML/CFT laws and best practices to keep the company compliant; reporting to the head of the AML department; requires experience in AML within a regulated financial services environment, CySEC AML certification preferred, and fluency in English and Greek. The role is based in Limassol with an office presence, and offers a generous remuneration package and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role within a regulated environment in the financial services industry, preferably in a CIF
- Hold a valid CySEC AML Certification will be considered a strong advantage
- Good understanding of AML/CFT applicable regulations
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and Greek (written and spoken)
- Proficient in the use of Google Workplace tools
- Must be a permanent resident in Cyprus or hold a valid work permit
