AML/KYC/Sanctions Analyst

Job Summary

Screen customer and transaction names against watchlists, including PEPs, OFAC, and adverse media databases. Accurately decide alerts for matches and obtain necessary documentation to support dispositions. Draft brief narratives on decision outcomes, mitigating factors, and rationale. Perform high-risk KYC reviews to verify identification details, assess transactional activity, and develop customer risk profiles. Investigate transaction alerts involving mobile app payments and crypto transactions, determining if activity appears unusual or poses financial crime risks. Conduct due diligence via open source and commercial databases, draft investigative narratives, and prepare, edit, and file Suspicious Activity Reports. Review previously identified suspicious activity to determine if it is continuing.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to adhere to defined procedures and meet Service Level Agreement and daily productions goals
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week onsite
  • Applicant must be able to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship

Desired Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in financial crimes compliance (AML/BSA)
  • Prior experience in the FinTech, Crypto, or payments space
  • Experience in AML compliance operations (e.g., alert triage, negative news, name screening, or sanctions transaction filtering operations)
  • Recent college graduates eager to learn with interest in working with financial technology companies
