Job Summary
AMHS Equipment Technician at Wolfspeed in Marcy, NY, responsible for on-site maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Automated Material Handling System (AMHS), Material Control System (MCS) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) interfaces. Acts as a subject matter expert for factory automation, connects production orders to equipment, and collaborates across equipment/process engineering, manufacturing operations, industrial engineering and facilities. Participates in developing maintenance plans, PM procedures, recovery procedures, training materials, and documentation; supports 24x7 technician team objectives; mentors teammates; and supports contract engineering and trades during installations or modifications. Must be able to work 12-hour day or night shifts, wear clean room PPE, and provide flexible 24x7 technical support for critical projects. The posted salary range is $22.30-$30.70/hour, with actual pay determined by qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in engineering or technology or equivalent military experience
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical wiring, block, and schematic diagrams
- Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions
- Experience with MS Office Excel
