Job Summary
Amharic Interpreter needed in Nashville, TN for on-site interpretation as an independent contractor (IRS Form 1099). Provide Amharic-English interpretation across medical, social work, education, and workplace settings; act as liaison using client’s preferred language; maintain accuracy and confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations; experience requirements include 2–3+ years interpreting with certifications preferred; candidate must reside within commuting distance of Nashville; role is contracted, not an LTC employee.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years interpreting experience
- Interpreting certifications, preferred
- Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience, preferred
- Ability to keep accurate records
