Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform scheduled maintenance on fuel-powered and electric forklifts and material handling equipment at customer locations. Conduct thorough inspections to identify repairs, document findings on work orders, and consult with customers regarding additional maintenance needs. Manage billable time, order parts through the parts department, and safely operate power tools while adhering to all safety procedures. Maintain neat documentation and communicate effectively with customers, staff, and management. Requires a valid driver's license, 2-3 years of relevant experience, and the ability to lift 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, lifting and reaching, etc.
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Must have the ability to understand the necessary service and training manuals, including the ability to interpret schematics and effectively use electrical diagnostic instruments
- Must be self-motivated and organized
- Must have excellent driving record
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. (and occasionally in excess of 75 lbs.)
Desired Qualifications
- Must keep pace with industry innovations in order to make sound recommendations to customers
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to attend training classes and online courses as required
