AmeriCorps Member Workforce Specialist (3391)

Job Summary

Deliver one-on-one and small-group career advancement sessions, including workshops on job search skills, résumé building, and interview preparation. Develop Career Success Plans for participants and conduct classroom instruction on goal setting and financial literacy. Track and document at least 15 hours of career planning support for a minimum of 20 assigned participants while connecting them to community resources and post-secondary opportunities. Monitor progress through case notes and provide individualized job coaching with regular check-ins. Requires a valid driver's license, high school diploma, and basic computer skills; bi-lingual ability is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Has not enrolled more than four times in an AmeriCorps State or National Direct Program, or more than five one-year terms for VISTA programs or two terms for NCCC programs
  • Strong desire to serve

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft experience
