Job Summary

Supervise students in arts, homework assistance, and leadership development clubs while co-facilitating afterschool programs and advisory classes twice weekly. Co-facilitate weekly groups and provide individual mentoring sessions to discuss academic progress and college research. Assist youth with the SYEP application process, enrollment, and orientations, and support the design and implementation of special events like Road to College Night and the annual spring show. Plan and coordinate field trips and perform necessary office duties including data entry and phone answering. Work onsite at Sunset Park High School during the 2026-27 school year (October–June), with flexible hours between 10 AM and 6 PM Monday through Friday, including potential evening and weekend shifts.

  • Must have a flexible personality, ready to switch tasks when asked

Desired Qualifications

  • Some college experience preferred
  • Experience working with youth on leadership development, service learning, and/or college exploration
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Chinese, a plus
